Composed for the Paris Conservatoire contest by Pierre Revel (1901-1984), Fantasy is a melodious piece for Bb Clarinet and Piano. Rated as difficult (8), this piece is perfect for demonstrating your skills and technique.
Dedicated to Ulysse Delécluse, Fantasy is divided in three main sections:
- Prélude � Modderato (senza rigore)
- Andante, featuring a Cadenza by the Clarinet solo
- Final which include a �Meno mosso� part and a �1 tempo�, before closing on a really harmonious note.
The mastering of breathing techniques and a great flexibility are required for this piece which demonstrates the whole range of the instrument.
